Installing WD Sync on Windows

WD Sync allows files to be synchronized across multiple computers using a My Cloud storage device. To download and install this software, please follow the instructions below:

IMPORTANT Important:

Please be aware that WDSync cannot be used with older MyBookLive or MyBookWorld NAS devices.


IMPORTANT Important:

Please ensure that the My Cloud product firmware is up to date.

  1. Go to the WD Sync Download Site and download the software. Once finished, run the software

  2. The Welcome screen will appear. After reading the EULA, check the I have read and agree to the EULA and WD's Privacy Policy checkbox, and click on Install

  3. WD Sync will start the installation process. This may take a few minutes.

  4. Once installed, the WD Sync will detect the Cloud storage devices in the local network, as well as provide an option to Sign in with a My Cloud remote access account. The software is now ready to be used.
