Description
Attempting to discover or access a My Passport Wireless through the mobile app results in the device not being found.
This occurs when the My Passport Wireless is connected to a Public Wi-Fi Home network. For security, some Public networks do not allow devices to communicate with each other while under the same Wi-Fi network.
Resolution
Reconnect to the My Passport Wireless' Private Network instead of connecting both devices to the Public network.
While in Home Mode, the My Passport Wireless' Private network will become unavailable after all devices have disconnected from it. To re-enable the network, push the WPS button on the My Passport Wireless for approximately 1 second. |
