My Passport Wireless mobile app for iOS and Android is now in the Limited Updates phase. During this phase, bug fixes, updates for new features, and OS compatibility patches may stop, but Western Digital will continue to provide security updates for the app to address critical issues.

Description


The battery does not charge while the My Passport Wireless is turned on and connected to a power source.
If the the drive is being used, the battery will not charge. The battery for the My Passport Wireless will only charge if the internal drive is not spinning.

Resolution


The battery can only charge if the My Passport Wireless is either turned OFF or when limiting access so the drive will cycle on/off.
