Description


The message occurs when trying to access a My Cloud network share on Windows.

  • Error: Cannot access NAS Drives, \Share\Folder is not accessible
  • Error Code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found

Computer Security Software

Temporarily turn off all computer Firewalls, Malware, Anti-Virus, Internet Security and End Point Protection software. This could block the discovery of the My Cloud on the network.



Network Discovery

Make sure that Public and Private Windows Network Discovery is Turned On.

SMB 2.0 Guest Policies

Guest access in SMB2 is turned off by default in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update version 1709 and higher.

Enable SMB1 on a My Cloud OS 5. (default=SMB2,SMB3)
Enable NTLMv1. (default=TTLMv2)

My Cloud OS 3 Max SMB Protocol

Change the protocol to SMB2, SMB3 on the My Cloud. (default=SMB2)

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click Network.

  4. Scroll down to Windows Services.

  5. Change the Windows Servers setting Max SMB Protocol FROM SMB2 (default) TO SMB2, SMB3.

  6. Reboot the My Cloud.

  7. Reboot the computer.


Power Cycle Network Hardware

  1. Power OFF the modem, router, and switches.

  2. Power OFF the My Cloud.

Change Network Connection Type

  1. Connect the computer with an Ethernet cable if using Wireless.

  2. Connect the computer directly to the router if a switch or hub is being used.
