My Passport Wireless mobile app for iOS and Android is now in the Limited Updates phase. During this phase, bug fixes, updates for new features, and OS compatibility patches may stop, but Western Digital will continue to provide security updates for the app to address critical issues.

Description


The battery of a My Passport Wireless Pro does not charge above 80%.

When the My Passport Wireless Pro is left powered on and charging for a period of 72 hours, the battery will discharge to 80% and rermain at that level while the device is connected to a power source.


Resolution


To fully charge the unit to 100%, disconnect and reconnect the device to the power source.

If the unit remains connected to a power source, it will discharge down to 80% again
