My Passport Wireless mobile app for iOS and Android is now in the Limited Updates phase. During this phase, bug fixes, updates for new features, and OS compatibility patches may stop, but Western Digital will continue to provide security updates for the app to address critical issues.

Description
Updating a My Passport Wireless Pro to version 1.01.08 or higher fails to update with the following error message:
Error: Device does not have enough space for upgrade (370002).
The firmware update will fail when an SD card is inserted into the SD card slot, as the system enters an unstable state during the update process.
Resolution
Follow the steps below to upgrade the firmware of the My Passport Wireless Pro to version 1.01.08 or higher:
- Disconnect any externally attached USB devices from the My Passport Wireless Pro
- Remove any inserted SD card
- Power OFF the device
- Power ON the device
- Login to the Dashboard and connect to the Home Network, if not already connected. For assistance accessing the Dashboard on a My Passport Wireless Pro, please see Answer ID 19786: Steps to Access the Dashboard on My Passport Wireless
- Select the Firmware icon
- Turn Auto Update to ON if currently set to OFF
- Click Check for Update
- Click OK to update the firmware
