Description

When transferring pictures from a USB connected camera to a My Cloud or My Passport Wireless device, not all pictures are transferred to the storage device.
Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) only devices are limited to read, display and transfer .JPG files smaller than 256 MB in size.
Other container types like .MP4, .MOV, .RAW, etc, cannot be read, displayed or transferred in PTP mode.
Files over 256 MB are not processed when the camera is direct connected to a My Passport Wireless Pro using the USB port. (PTP mode)

Resolution

  • If using a My Passport Wireless, remove the SD card from the camera and insert it into the SD card slot of the device.
  • If using a My Cloud device, remove the CF card from the camera and insert it into a USB Card Reader. Then, insert the card reader into one of the USB ports of the My Cloud device.
  • Use Mass Transport Protocol (MTP) if the camera being used supports this transfer mode.
