My Cloud: Not Accessible After Connecting a USB Attached SCSI (UAS) Device

Description

Connecting a UAS (USB Attached SCSI) device to a My Cloud PR2100 or PR4100 causes the unit to become inaccessible.

UAS devices are currently not supported on a My Cloud PR2100 and PR4100 using firmware 2.21.126 and lower.
USB Attached SCSI (UAS or UASP) is a protocol that uses SCSI commands over USB.

Resolution

Detach the UAS device from the My Cloud.

1. Press the power button on the My Cloud to power off the unit.
2. Remove the UAS external drive.
3. Press the power button to power on the unit.
4. Upgrade the My Cloud PR2100 or PR4100 to firmware 2.30.165 of higher
