Enable Recycle Bin on a Share Folder

- Click desired Share Folder.
Turn Recycle Bin ON.
The Recycle Bin is located at the share level named Recycle bin - Volume_1.
EXAMPLES:
- Recycle Bin turned on for the Public share located on Volume_1.
- Recycle Bin is turned on for the Public share on Volume_1 and for the Private share on Volume_2.

Answer ID 15062: Deleted Content Not Found in the Recycle Bin on My Cloud
IMPORTANT:
- The Recycle Bin is supported for Windows (Samba) SMB files accessed with File Explorer.
- It is not a supported on macOS.
Files can be seen tough. - Files deleted in the Mobile and Web app are permanently deleted.
- It can be seen in Windows Explorer and macOS Finder using the Samba (SMB) or the hostname and IP address of the My Cloud.
- \\Hostname\Recycle Bin - Volume_1
- \\IP-Address\Recycle Bin - Volume_1
- Recycle Bin is not shown in the Dashboard.
- Share permissions are Read/Write and cannot be changed.
- Users will not see deleted files if they do not have permission to access the share where files were deleted from.
EXAMPLES:
User1 deletes a file from a Private Share that User2 cannot access.
User2 can still see the Recycle Bin but won't see the deleted file.
User1 deletes a file from a Public Share that User2 also has access.
Only User1 will see the deleted file(s) in the Recycle Bin.
