Third-Party App Import Content from Cloud Storage or Social Media Account on WD Discovery

Steps for Dropbox

1. Create a Dropbox account


2. Open WD Discovery
   Click IMPORT.
   
   


3. Click Continue.
   
   


4. Click Dropbox.
   
   


5. Enter account credentials.
   Click Sign In.
   
   


6. Click Allow.
   
   


7. Select the drive to import data if multiple drives are attached.
   
   


8. Click Dismiss once the import has been completed.
   
   


9. Open the drive to access the data.
   
   

Steps for OneDrive

1. Create a OneDrive account.


2. Open WD Discovery
   Click IMPORT.
   
   


3. Click Continue.
   
   


4. Click OneDrive .
   
   


5. Enter account credentials.
   Click Next.
   
   


6. Click Next.
   
   


7. Click Looks Good!.
   
   


8. Click Yes.
   
   


9. Select the drive to import data if multiple drives are attached.
   
   


10. Click Dismiss once the import has been completed.
    
    


11. Open the drive to access the data.
    
    

Access Token Expire Times

An Import failed message can occur when importing large amounts of data and the access token expires.

• The access token expires based on the settings controlled by the Cloud and Social Media app provider.
• These settings cannot be changed by users or WD Support.

Solution for Access Token Expiry Time

• Start a new Import if the process failed due to the access token expiring.
• The new import will only download files that were not previously imported.

It takes about 1 hour to sync down 1 GB of content.
