My Passport Wireless mobile app for iOS and Android is now in the Limited Updates phase. During this phase, bug fixes, updates for new features, and OS compatibility patches may stop, but Western Digital will continue to provide security updates for the app to address critical issues.

My Passport Wireless Pro is contantly sending "Temperature Normal" messages..


If a My Passport Wireless Pro powers off due to a high temperature condition while connected to an AC power outlet, when the unit returns to normal temperature, powering on the unit produces constant "Temperature Normal" messages.


Resolution


Follow the below steps to resolve the issue.

  1. Press the power button on My Passport Wireless Pro to power off the unit
  2. Disconnect the USB Cable or Power Adapter from the AC outlet
  3. Press the power button and power on the unit while in battery mode
  4. Wait until the unit is fully powered on (about 2 - 3 minutes) or accessible from the mobile app or dashboard in a browser
  5. Intert the AC prongs into the power outlet
