Steps to Collect System Logs Using SSH Command Line on My Cloud



IMPORTANT:

  1. Enable SSH (Secure Shell).
    Login to My Cloud.

  2. Duplicate the issue.

  3. Copy and Paste this command in the SSH screen.
    Press the enter key on the keyboard.

    /usr/sbin/zip_system_log.sh systemlogs

  4. Copy and Paste this command.
    Press the enter key.

    cp /tmp/systemlogs.zip /shares/Public/

    • Ignore any error messages from the console when running the zip_system_log.sh command.

    • Logs in /tmp will be deleted after the next system reboot.

  5. Open the Public Share in Windows Explorer or macOS Finder to get the systemlogs.zip file.

  6. Open a case at the Support Portal and attach the logs.
