My Cloud firmware includes Twonky DLNA Media Server version 7.2.9
We encourage sharing Twonky Media Player issues and solutions on the Twonky Community Forum and the WD Community Forum.
- Western Digtial Technical does not provide support for the Twonky DLNA Server's Web Interface, Configuration and or Settings
- Support for Twonky DNLA Media Server is limited to the settings available and configurable in the My Cloud Dashboard
- Support is not provide for Twonky DLNA Server thumbnail generation or DLNA Client thumbnail viewing issues
To rebuild the Twonky Database, please refer to Answer ID 7577: Rebuilding Twonky DLNA Media Server Database - Changing or altering Twonky configuration files is not supported
- The manipulation and or modification of My Cloud firmware 2.xx.xxx will be undone when the system is rebooted
- Western Digital Technical Support does not support GPL Source Code compilation for My Cloud modification
- Technical Support is not provided for Twonky DLNA Media playback issues regarding 3rd party media players, Smart TV, containers, codecs or media conversion software
- Some media players may not support the playback of all files.
Please refer to your media player user manual for more information. - Video file types are called containers. There are multiple encoding standards that each container support and not all devices support all encodings.

- Twonky Server (TS) will try to extract embedded album art from mp3, mp4, ogg, wma, wmv and jpg files.
- In case TS did not find embedded album art in the media item itself, it will look for a file that has the same filename as the content, but with extension `jpg` or 'thm'.
- Twonky will also look for the following files: Folder.jpg, AlbumArtSmall.jpg, folder.jpg
- Western Digital does not provide support for Twonky DLNA Server thumbnail generation or DLNA Client thumbnail viewing issues. To rebuild the Twonky Database, please refer to Answer ID 7577: Rebuilding Twonky DLNA Media Server Database
