How to Resolve WD Sync Issues


Domain Name Resolution

WD Sync depends on and requires successful forward and reverse name resolution to online My Cloud internet resources. Failure in domain name resolution between the My Cloud device, computer where WD Sync is installed and the My Cloud ecosystem will result in WD Sync failures.

Network Routing and Ports

Improper network routing, blocked or filtering non reserved TCP or UDP ports above 1024 at the immediate or upstream network router or ISP will result in WD Sync failures. Consult your Network Adminstrator, IT Department or ISP regarding TCP/UDP port blocking or filtering issues.
