My Cloud Home: Windows Backup Configuration Message "The Specified Network Location Cannot Be Used"

Windows File backup setup fails with the specified network location cannot be used.

Resolution

The correct network paths for My Cloud Home Public share using Samba are:

NETBIOS PATH: \\MYCLOUD-XXXXX\Public
IP ADDRESS PATH: \\IP_ADDRESS\Public

The Public share is not password protected. It cannot be set to Private. My Cloud Home does not require a login to the public share. Windows 10 and higher will ask for a network login on non-password protected shares. The name and password cannot contain spaces.
