Error Uploading Large Files Using The My Cloud Home Web App



Description


Files larger than 5 GB fail when using the web app.
Files over 5GB must be added using Windows Explorer or macOS Finder using Local Access.

Resolution


  1. Go to mycloud.com.

  2. Click SIGN INTO MY CLOUD HOME.

  3. Click Sign In to access the Dashboard with the Western Digital Account.

  4. Click Settings.
    Go to Current Storage.
    Confirm connection type is Local.

  5. Click MANAGE DEVICE.

    The device settings work only on Local connection types.

  6. Click Continue.

  7. Turn On Local network access.
