Description
WD Backup displays a message, "Unable to back up files to because there is not enough space" under the following conditions:
- Creating the first backup plan on WD Backup Version 1.9.6485 and below
- Starting backups of an existing backup plan
WD Backup maintains a second copy of the backup for data recovery purposes.
It also requires additional disk space for pruning older backups from existing backup plans.
EXAMPLES:
- If there is a 1 TB My Passport external drive, WD Backup can only process 465 GB of data because it requires two times (2x) the disk space to create the backup plan. (465 GB + 465 GB = 930 GB)
- If the computer has 1.25 TB of data, WD Backup will need at least 2.5 TB of of external USB storage to create a backup plan.
(1.25 TB + 1.25 TB = 2.5 TB)
