About Sonos
What Is Sonos?
Sonos is a wireless multi-room music sound system that streams music streaming services, as well as music from computers and devices on your home network. Sonos allows you to create "zones".
What is a Sonos Zone?
A zone can be a single player in a room, an area of your home such as dining room, kitchen or outdoor patio. A "zone" is made when you choose one or more players to play the same music at the same time.
How Does it work?
Sonos can be connected to the router and accessed over the internet. Music can be streamed from any device attached to the local network if without an Internet connection.
What music formats are supported by Sonos?
Sonos supports industry standard music formats such as mps, wma, wav and others depending on the method of media play. Local playback support formats may not be the same or identical to streaming media formats.
