My Passport Wireless mobile app for iOS and Android is now in the Limited Updates phase. During this phase, bug fixes, updates for new features, and OS compatibility patches may stop, but Western Digital will continue to provide security updates for the app to address critical issues.

Description


Opening image displays a Cannot Access File error message in the mobile app for Android.


New content added to a My Cloud or My Passport Wireless products will generate thumbnails for the supported media type and index the content listing into the database.
The process that scans content and generates thumbnails may take some time to complete.


Resolution


Wait for the database scanning to complete and restart the mobile app.
