My Passport Wireless mobile app for iOS and Android is now in the Limited Updates phase. During this phase, bug fixes, updates for new features, and OS compatibility patches may stop, but Western Digital will continue to provide security updates for the app to address critical issues.

Unable to login to the web dashboard after using certain special characters.


Login to the web dashboard of My Passport Wireless Pro and SSD fails after setting the password using certain special characters.


Resolution


My Passport Wireless Pro and My Passport Wireless SSD support these special characters:
~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + [ ] { } | : ; ’ , . / < > ? and do not support ` and character.

To resolve this, reset your My Passport Wireless Pro or SSD to regain web dashboard access.
