My Cloud Dashboard Cannot Be Accessed in Web Browser



Description


The Dashboard cannot be accessed when it is connected to:

  • A computer using an Ethernet cable.
  • An IP Address serving router.

The Dashboard is powered by an Apache Web Server.
It can only be accessed when the LED is Solid Blue and NOT blinking blue or white.

The web server may not be running or there may be an disk error if the Dashboard still cannot be accessed when all methods have failed.


Resolution


Shares

Copy all data to another device if access to files using Windows File Explorer or macOS Finder is possible.

External USB Drives

Remove any USB drives and power OFF and ON the My Cloud.


Router

Power OFF and ON all switches and routers and verify that the My Cloud is getting an IP address.

Connect the My Cloud to the local computer using an Ethernet cable.

40 Second Pin Reset

Performing the 40 second pin reset multiple times may result in being able to access the Dashboard.
This will allow for getting System Logs or running SMART drives checks is access is successful.

Try to access the Dashboard again with the IP Address if the LED is Solid Blue.
