My Passport Wireless mobile app for iOS and Android is now in the Limited Updates phase. During this phase, bug fixes, updates for new features, and OS compatibility patches may stop, but Western Digital will continue to provide security updates for the app to address critical issues.

How to test a My Passport Wireless, Pro and SSD for Errors
- Log into the Dashboard, please refer to Answer ID 19786: Steps to Access the Dashboard on My Passport Wireless
- Click the Support tab
- Scroll down to the Diagnostics section
- Quick Test: Checks the hard drive for major performance problems. The result of a quick test is a pass or fail evaluation of the hard drive’s condition. The quick test can take several minutes to complete.
- Full Test: Is a more comprehensive drive diagnostic. It methodically tests each and every sector of the hard drive. Once the test is performed, the condition of the hard drive displays. IMPORTANT: To complete the Full Test, make sure the drive is plugged into AC power.
- Once the System Test finishes, a pop-up window will display with a list of the status of each item that was verified.
