Steps to Collect Anti-Virus Essentials Logs Using SSH on My Cloud

SSH is used to get the logs in real-time when an error happens.


  1. Access the Dashboard.

  2. Click Anti-Virus Essentials.
    Ensure the Anti-Virus Essentials App is ON.


  3. Enable SSH (Secure Shell).
    Login to My Cloud.

  4. Copy and Paste this command.
    Press the enter key on the keyboard.

    cd /mnt/HD/HD_a2/.systemfile/


  5. Type the ls command.
    Press the enter key.

    ls


  6. Copy and Paste this command.
    Press the enter key.

    zip -r clamav clamav


  7. Type the ls command.
    Press the enter key.
    Look for clamav.zip.

    ls


  8. Copy and Paste this command.
    Press the enter key.

    mv clamav.zip /shares/Public


  9. Access Public Share folder.
    Look for clamav.zip.

  10. Open a case at the Support Portal and attach the zip file.
