Description
This message shows when accessing the My Cloud Dashboard on the local network using the NetBIOS name or the IP address.
Forbidden
You don't have permission to acess / on this server.
The 403 Forbidden message can show because:
- Ports 80 and 443 are blocked.
- Router firewall is blocking.
- My Cloud is installed on a restricted network.
- Computer is not connected to the same router as the My Cloud.
- Computer is connected through a VPN or on a different network.
Resolution
Local Area Network (LAN)
- Connect the computer to the same network as My Cloud.
- Disconnect or reconfigure the VPN network to allow access to the dashboard.
- Check the router to make sure packets are routing correctly and that traffic is not blocked for internal port 80 and 443.
