My Passport Wireless mobile app for iOS and Android is now in the Limited Updates phase. During this phase, bug fixes, updates for new features, and OS compatibility patches may stop, but Western Digital will continue to provide security updates for the app to address critical issues.

Description


No Internet Connection occurs when connecting to My Passport Wireless Pro or SSD wifi channel.


The mobile device may:

  • only be connected to the Carrier network
  • be connected through a VPN
  • be connected to a WiFi network that does not have internet access or causing interference
IMPORTANT:

My Passport Wireless Pro and SSD do not support remote access.
Only local LAN Access is supported.


Resolution


Follow the solutions below to resolve the "No Internet Connection" message as needed.


  1. Enable WiFi on the mobile device and connect to a network that has internet access.
  2. Disconnect from WiFi networks that may cause internet connection interference and such as VPN and connect to a clean network with internet connection.
