Description
Windows 10 and 11 File Backup does not detect a My Cloud, My Cloud Home or Network Drive.
IMPORTANT:
Network Drives may not appear when using a Windows 10 and 11 Computer because CIFS/SMBv1 and Network Browse has been depreciated.

Resolution
Default or Modified Device Name
- If the device name was modified from the default, please use the new device name instead of the "Default Network Path" listed in the table below.
EXAMPLE: \\JohnCloud or \\JaneCloud
- If the My Cloud device name has not changed, use the "Default Network Path" in the table below for the WD device on your network.

Instructions
- Type the \\NETBIOSNAME or the \\IP_ADDRESS of the My Cloud or My Cloud Home into the Network bar
- Press the Enter Key on the keyboard
- Select a backup destination
- Click Select Folder
- My Cloud: use the Smartware share

- Click Run Now to start the Windows File Backup
