Description
The RAID Rebuild process on a My Cloud is taking longer than expected.
The RAID Rebuild process can be slower when there are other My Cloud processes and services consuming memory and CPU resources.
Resolution
Follow the steps below to reduce CPU and Memory consumption on the My Cloud during the RAID rebuild process.

- Disconnect and remove all external USB devices from the My Cloud
- Turn Off installed 3rd party apps under Apps
- Turn Off Cloud Backups under Backups > Cloud Backups
- Turn Off Cloud Access under Settings > General > Cloud Access
- Turn Off Time Machine Backups under Settings > General > Mac Backups
- Turn off FTP, NFS, WebDAV, SNMP under Settings > Network > Network Services
- Turn Off Twonky DLNA Media Server under Settings > Media
- Turn Off iTunes Server under Settings > Media
- Ensure that no Safepoint or Backup jobs are running on or too the My Cloud from any network device or computer
- Prevent user attempted access to the My Cloud shares on the network
- Logout of the Dashboard and close the browser window to reduce resources used by the Apache Web Server
