Dropbox provides solutions for synchronization and sharing of files. Dropbox supports a number of operating systems. Once installed Dropbox provides syncing to the Dropbox website.

My Cloud Prerequisites for the Dropbox App
My Cloud user must have the following items before installation of the Dropbox App.
- My Cloud setup and configured with internet access
- Dropbox account created at www.Dropbox.com
Supported Features and Limitations
My Cloud feature support and limitations.
- My Cloud Share backup to Dropbox is not supported
- Immediate syncing and interval syncing are supported
- Selective Syncing is supported
- /Public/Dropbox is the default local sync folder
- Dropbox syncing to private Shares is supported
- Dropbox Sync is two way sync
- Dropbox team folders are not supported.

Install and Configure Dropbox on My Cloud Mirror, My Cloud EX2, EX4
Installation and Sync
Follow the steps below when installing the Dropbox app onto a My Cloud.
- Open the dashboard of the My Cloud.
- Click the Apps Icon.
- Click the Install Apps icon.
- Scroll through the Available Apps.
Check the box next to Dropbox.
Click Install. - Click Ok.
- Select Dropbox.
- Click Configure.
- Click Sign-In.
- Click New to Dropbox? Create an account.
- Enter the new users information.
Check the box next to I agree to the Dropbox Terms.
Click Create an account. - Click Allow.
- Select and copy the authorization code.
- Navigate back to the My Cloud configuration window.
Paste in the authorization code.
Click Apply

If you have an existing user account, enter the User ID and Password, and click Sign in. |
The Dropbox Settings page is now available and syncing has initiated. |
Configuration
Follow the steps below when Configuring the Dropbox app on a My Cloud.
- Status:
- Stop Syncing: Click Stop Syncing to stop syncing until the next sync interval time.
- Sync Now: Click Sync Now to start syncing before the next sync interval time.
- Used Space: Provides used space as a percentage of the total available space at Dropbox.com.
- Last Updated: Provides the date and time of the last completed sync.
- Local Sync Folder:
- Browse: Click Browse To edit the sync folder on the My Cloud.
- Select Path: Navigate to and check or uncheck folders for syncing.
- Click OK.
- Sync Interval:
- Sync Interval drop down: Click the Sync Interval drop down to edit the time between syncing
- Select an amount of time.
- Dropbox Sync Folders:
- Selective Sync: Click Selectivce Sync to specify which folders should sync to and from Dropbox.com.
- Select Path:
- Navigate to and check or uncheck folders for syncing
- Click OK
- Account:
- Unlink Account: Click Unlink Account to unlink an account.
- Click OK:
An account can be re-linked by clicking Sign-In after being logged out. |
