As long as the WD USB external drives are formatted withthe FAT32 file system, will work well with the XBox and PS3 game consoles.
There should be no problems storing and playing music, video, photographs and games. However, as indicated above, this applies to the units with FAT32 format only .
If for some reason, you have to format your drive to the file system FAT32, for use in any of the game consoles, you can download one FAT32 format utility from our Legacy Fat32 format Utiltiy. Find your WD My Book USB drive, download the utility, install it, and follow the prompts when you run it.
Copy all data to another location outside the drive before reformatting it. When reformatting the unit, all data contained in it is destroyed!
