The My Book Live, My Book World Edition (White Light), My Book World Edition II (White Light), and WD ShareSpace include a Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) Certified Media Server known as "Twonky Server" for playing videos on DLNA compatible devices. The following file types are supported for play through Twonky Server:

Some devices may not support playback of all these files. Please refer to your DLNA Media Player User's Manual to see which formats are supported.

IMPORTANT: Video file types are called containers. There are multiple encoding standards that each container supports. Not all devices support all encodings. This is the reason that the same device will playback some files of a type (for example MKVs) while others of the same type will not.
