WD Green, Blue, Black, and Red drives can be configured in RAID 0 or RAID 1 arrays.*END
WD Desktop drives (WD Green, Blue, Black, and Red) have been tested and can be used for use with RAID systems when set in RAID 0 (Stripe) or RAID 1 (Mirror).
- WD advises using a Desktop drive in a RAID array with no more than two drives.
- WD is not able to provide technical support for setting up either hardware or software RAID.
- Support for the RAID array can be obtained from one of these sources:
- The RAID controller maker.
- The RAID software creator.
- The Operating System (OS) creator.
- Check the health of the drive before using it in a RAID array.
