What Happens to the Data When I send in a Drive for Warranty Replacement?

Customer privacy is a priority. Drives received at our return centers go through a rigorous testing and analysis process.
All data on the drive is completely erased and cannot be recovered.

Data recovery must be done before sending the drive to WD.

Western Digital will stand behind the warranty that is supplied with the drive. The drive can be replaced through our Warranty Replacement Process if the drive is still In Warranty.
