This update replaces your MioNet™ remote access interface with the new WD 2go™ free remote access technology. After performing the update, you will no longer be able to access this network drive using MioNet. Instead, you will need to use WD 2go to access and share files on your My Book Live.
If you accept this update, you must download WD's new mobile applications (WD Photos 1.3 or higher and WD 2go mobile app) to access your My Book Live from your iOS™ or Android™ mobile device.
Please note that this action is not reversible. If you do not want to update now, click Cancel to return to your dashboard -- you can update at a later time. If you have a MioNet Premium account, you can still use the PC to PC remote file access or remote desktop sharing features, but you will not be able to access or share files from your My Book Live using MioNet.

WD 2go web access provides free remote access to your My Book Live from most computers with an internet connection – from anywhere in the world. After logging in, WD 2go mounts your My Book Live on your computer like a local drive to make your remote folders available on your PC or Mac® computer. Seamlessly open and attach files to emails from this virtual drive.
In addition, providing friends and relatives access to your My Book Live is a simple process – after adding them from your My Book Live dashboard, they'll receive email instructions for setting up and viewing shared folders through Windows® Explorer® or Mac Finder®.
Your real life is dynamic and now your digital life is too. With the WD 2go mobile app, your mobile device has access to just about any file stored on your My Book Live. With WD 2go and your My Book Live, it's like having up to 3 TB of extra storage for your mobile device. From your Apple® or Android mobile device, stream music and view stored files in the palm of your hand!
WD 2go supports most major file types including Microsoft® Word®, Microsoft Excel®, PowerPoint®, and Apple Keynote®, so you can pull up that presentation and show it off on your iPad®. Stream a variety of media file formats, including MP3 and MP4. Now your media is your own.
The My Book Live update provides a powerful new feature that lets you create a backup or snapshot of your device, called a safepoint, on another My Book Live or NAS drive on your home network. Safepoints can be created on a schedule you define. They include a record of users, data, and shares on your device; any backups created using WD SmartWare™/Apple Time Machine®, or Windows® 7/Vista®; and any associated device configuration details. Creating a safepoint ensures that you can easily recover your data from a specific point in time to a new, compatible device in the unlikely event that your My Book Live fails.
This software release contains additional improvements based on user feedback and rigorous WD testing.
