    Instrukcja

    Use of this software requires download and installation to a system connected to at least one of the compatible Western Digital (WD, SanDisk, G-Technology) storage products. When using with the My Cloud NAS products, the software must be running from an operating system on the same local network.

    The installation procedure is straightforward.
    1. Download the .zip file that includes both the executable file as well as the User Guide.
    2. Extract the .dmg file and the User Guide.
    3. Double-click the Acronis True Image setup file (the file has a .dmg extension).
    4. Drag the Acronis True Image icon to the Applications folder.
    5. Run the installed program.
    6. When prompted, provide administrator credentials and follow the on-screen instructions.

    What's new!
    • Added the following pop-up notification message to inform users about end of support for prior generations of My Cloud OS. Here is the entire message:

    On April 15, 2022, support for prior generations of My Cloud OS, including My Cloud OS 3, will end. Your device isn’t compatible with critical security updates that are only available for My Cloud OS 5-compatible devices. As a result, you’ll only be able to access it locally. After April 15, 2022, your device will no longer receive remote access, security updates, or technical support. To help protect your content, we recommend that you back up your device, disconnect it from the internet, and protect it with a strong, unique password. Check out our recent My Cloud updates to learn more.

    Manually Updating the firmware on your My Cloud

    Important: Make sure you stop all processes and save all your data before performing the firmware update.

    Note: Do not interrupt the firmware upgrade process. Doing so may cause the device to malfunction or unable to boot.
    If you are using the manual update method, do not rename the firmware file. Doing so will cause the manual update to fail and can corrupt the system.

    Updating the firmware on your My Cloud
    1. Download the firmware to your desktop.
    2. Unzip the file and you will find the actual firmware in this format: sq-040500-xxx-2017xxxx.deb.
    3. Save this to your desktop.
    4. Open the My Cloud Dashboard UI.
    5. Go to Settings >> Firmware Update.
    6. Under the section Manual Update, click the Update From File button and a window will open.
    7. Browse to where you saved the sq-040500-xxx-2017xxxx.deb file and select it.
    8. You will see a pop up confirming to upgrade your firmware, click Ok.
