    Instructions

    Use of this software requires download and installation to a system connected to at least one of the compatible Western Digital (WD, SanDisk, G-Technology) storage products. When using with the My Cloud NAS products, the software must be running from an operating system on the same local network.

    The installation procedure is straightforward.
    1. Download the .zip file that includes both the executable file as well as the User Guide.
    2. Extract the .exe file and the User Guide.
    3. Run the executable file and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Use of this software requires download and installation to a system connected to at least one of the compatible Western Digital (WD, SanDisk, G-Technology) storage products. When using with the My Cloud NAS products, the software must be running from an operating system on the same local network.

    The installation procedure is straightforward.
    1. Download the .zip file that includes both the executable file as well as the User Guide.
    2. Extract the .dmg file and the User Guide.
    3. Double-click the Acronis True Image setup file (the file has a .dmg extension).
    4. Drag the Acronis True Image icon to the Applications folder.
    5. Run the installed program.
    6. When prompted, provide administrator credentials and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Product update for My Cloud EX4

    IMPORTANT:
    Make sure you stop all processes and save all your data before performing the firmware update.

    Updating from firmware 1.02.xx:
    • This firmware update requires the user to unplug the power supply, wait for 5 seconds to re-plug, and power up My Cloud EX4.
    • Effective with this firmware update, the Network File System (NFS) feature will not be available or supported.

    What's new!
    • Added the following pop-up notification message to inform users about end of support for prior generations of My Cloud OS. Here is the entire message:

    On April 15, 2022, support for prior generations of My Cloud OS, including My Cloud OS 3, will end. Your device isn’t compatible with critical security updates that are only available for My Cloud OS 5-compatible devices. As a result, you’ll only be able to access it locally. After April 15, 2022, your device will no longer receive remote access, security updates, or technical support. To help protect your content, we recommend that you immediately back up your device, disconnect it from the internet, and protect it with a strong, unique password. Check out our recent My Cloud updates to learn more.

    Manually Updating the firmware on your My Cloud Mirror

    Important: Make sure you stop all processes and save all your data before performing the firmware update.

    Note: My Cloud devices require a hard drive inserted into the bay and a volume must be created to perform the firmware update.
    Do not interrupt the firmware upgrade process. Doing so may cause the device to malfunction or unable to boot.
    If you are using the manual update method, do not rename the firmware file. Doing so will cause the manual update to fail and can corrupt the system.

    1. Pobierz oprogramowanie układowe na pulpit.
    2. Rozpakuj plik, w rozpakowanym folderze znajduje się plik z oprogramowaniem układowym w następującym formacie: My_Cloud_LT4A_2.xx.xx.bin
